The establishment of StArt Ent. conincided with reunification of Macau with mainland China. At the time Macau's future was uncertain and struggling through dark times created a moment of panic in Macau. At the same time fiscal stagnation loomed. StArt Ent. took bold action for the time to persuade the Macau government to support production of the film "Marooned" a Hong Kong film that puts the social situation facing Macau into context for the audience. The production of this film was the first step for the promotion of the arts and establishing Macau in the modern film industry.
